Jigawa state government has directed all Civil Servants working in the state to resume duty effective from tomorrow 4/8/2020.
Governor Badaru Abubakar gave the directive while briefing journalists today at the government house, the governor charged the civil servant to obey the COVID-19 prevention protocol including the use of facemasks and as well as hand washing as he also asked them to maintain as social distance and personal hygiene.
Badaru also directed the state Ministry of Health to provide the necessary guidelines and materials needed to all ministries, agencies, and departments as he said; “we will monitor the behavior of all the civil servants working in the state to ensure that the civil servants are working with the directives.”
He assured that the will act swiftly on any person who violates the directives.
In the area of education, the governor said they will open 3-5 schools in each of the senatorial zones for SS3 students within this week and it will be expanded gradually.
He, therefore, directed the ministry of education to come out with a timetable for the school’s activities and work closely with the ministry of health to ensure the health and safety of the students.
