Jigawa State Police Command  Arrest Armed Robbery Suspects

The Jigawa state police command has arrested one Abubakar Adamu ‘ 47 years of age at Tsungur village, he was arrested in connection with the Armed robbery that took place on 26/7/2021 at about 0300hrs at the residence of one Hannatu Bashir ” of Nasarawa quarters and she is a Staff of General Hospital Ringim in which she alleged that some amount of money and fried meat was stolen from her.

In the same vein, there was an attempt by the robbers to enter the residence of one Magaji Ado of the same address who is a lecturer at the College of Education and Legal Studies Ringim but was repelled by the arrival of the police to the scene which made it impossible for the robbers to gain entrance.

 

As a result of the arrest the Commissioner Of Police, CP A S Tafida,  directed that the suspect should be questioned at state SCIID Dutse for discreet investigation.

 

In another development also one Idris Sa’idu  24 years of age in Fanisau town Ungogo LGA Kano State and his gang members were pursued by police operatives after entering into the house of one Umar Fasaha ‘ of Unguwar Maina Ringim town where the said Idris Saidu was arrested, but other gang members escaped. During interrogation, the suspect confessed that he and his gang members had been coming to rob people in Ringim town and environs from Minjibir LGA Kano State.

An effort is in progress to arrest the remaining fleeing gang members.

 

The spokesman of the command Lawan Adamu Shisu confirmed the story, adding that five hoodlums went to Sabon Sara Fulani settlement and stole away two cows.

 

Among the suspected hoodlums two out of five have been arrested which include Aliyu Muhd 25 years of age from Hadejia and one Danjumai Bele 26 years of age also from Dubantu quarters of Hadejia

The Police said that the remaining suspect would soon be arrested when the police gathered their reports
