Jigawa State Magistrate Court Remands Two Persons For Abducting A 20 Year Old Girl By Umar Akilu Majeri

A Jigawa State Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Dutse jigawa statecapital has remanded two persons for illegally abducting a 20 year old girl Hajara Adamu from Gombe state.  Hajara who is from Tula in Gombe state tribe used her handset to call Adamu Abubakar and arrange on how to meet with each other.


Presiding Judge, Aliyu Mahammed Hadejia saidthe suspects were arraigned allegedly for detaining the girl illegally at their house, a situation which forced the village Head of Kachi town in Dutse Local government to inform the Police in Dutse for the arrest of the suspects.


Meanwhile the father of the girl Malam Adamu told the court that he seek to take her daughter back to the family because she has been away from home since two days as her family are worried about the girl absence.


However, when contacted Hajara Adamu said she was away from home because her parents were planning to establish a marriage proposal with Zakari Abdullahi, who is a son of the District Head of Tula.

According to Hajara, she said that he has no love with the Zakari, adding further that she has to run away in order to ignore her parent’s intention of giving her marriage to Zakari. Hajara also that when she gets back home, she will never marry Zakari, as she has no love for him, even as she denied ever sleeping with the people she met in Dutse.

Meanwhile the court gave the names of those that abducted and slept with as Husaini Sunusi of Gaya town from Kano who is a commercial driver based in Dutse and Adamu Abubakar a staff of a construction company based in Dutse.

Hearing on the case was adjourned on the 19th March.
