Jigawa State Government Distribute 19 Laptops To Newly Posted Procurement Officers

Jigawa State Government has procured and distributed nineteen sets of Laptop Computers to Procurement Officers posted to various Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the State.

 

While Distributing, the Computers to the Officers, the State Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Hussaini Ali Kila, said the distribution of the Computers to the Officers is part of the holistic approach of the present administration of ensuring accountability and transparency in the Procurement Cadre.

 

He disclosed that, Jigawa State is in the forefront out of the thirty six States of the Federation on Procurement Cadre, adding that His Excellency Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has already approved the adoption of Procurement Cadre into the State Civil Service.

 

Alhaji Hussaini Ali Kila appreciated the effort of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning and the Directorate of the state Due Process and Projects Monitoring Bureau in agreeing to support all issues related to Procurement Cadre.

 

The Head of Service, charged  the beneficiaries to make good use of the Computers in their day to day activities.

 

Earlier, the Director General, Due Process and Projects Monitoring Bureau, Alhaji Ado Hussaini, said with this new development, it is now mandatory for all the Officers to know how to operate Computer as preparation is underway to commence e-procurement in the State by the end of this year.

 

He explained that, the State Government will soon sign a memorandum of understanding with the World Bank on e-cig Procurement in the State.

 

Responding, on behalf of the beneficiaries, Malam Kamilu Lawan Aliyu, thanked the State Government for the gesture and assured that they will make good use of the Computers in discharging their duties.
