Jigawa SLOGOR/EU Trains Local Govt Financial Staffs On Accountability And Prudence

Proper Accountability and Prudence in the management of monetary resources are the key focus of the present administration of Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar says Jigawa Commissioner for Local Government, Alhaji Kabiru Hassan Sugungum.
He stated this in his keynote address During the Opening Ceremony of a five-day workshop organized by the Ministry for local government in collaboration with the State and Local Governance Reform Project at manpower in Dutse to local government officials.
The program sponsored by Jigawa (SLOGOR), under EU, partnered with the State and Local Governments in the aspect of policy initiations and implementations in the state for the Directors of Administration and General Services (DAGS), Directors Planning, Research and Statistics (DPRS), Treasurers, Accountants and Cashiers for all the 27 Local Governments of the State.
The Commissioner also Charged the participants on the proper need of implementing the techniques learning at the Capacity Building which will support the mission of the state of transforming service to ranked the contemporary need and aspirations.
The Commissioner thanked the SLOGOR for making this timely effort in complementing and actualizing the targeted objective
In his welcome remark, The State Project Coordinator SLOGOR Engr. Hassan Abba Hassan traced the history and success of the project in the state and made a call to the participants to adequately participate as the sessions would be participatory for proper practice of new techniques to be learned at the training.
