A complaint was received from one Mohammad Abdu Mago age 55yrs old of Fatara Estate that he returned from Mosque, he discovered that his MTN Sim Card was stolen by unknown person(s), eventually he started receiving debit alerts up to the sum of one million, four hundred and fifty six thousand naira (#1, 456, 000. 00k) within Four (4) hrs. In the course of investigation, a tracking result indicated that the Sim Card in question was used in certain Tecno Handset.
The IMIE No., GSM No., and the name of Suspect were all captured / retrieved, in view of this development, the following Suspects were arrested;
- Abubakar Shehu ‘m’ age 25yrs old, 2. Haruna Abdullahi ‘m’ age 24yrs old, all of Fatara Housing Estate. Case is under investigation.
In another development the police also arrested a Notorious Shop Breaking.
, a team of Policemen attached to Jahun Division while on patrol, arrested one Ibrahim Yakubu ‘m’ age 20yrs of Rimin Kebe Quarters Kano State at Jahun Township Main Market with Scissor, Hammer, and Saw tool, on a roofing shop of one Abdulaziz Suleman ‘m’ age 32yrs old of Jahun metropolis,
The suspected was arested cutting the Zinc sheet with Scissor, trying to enter the shop. During the course of investigation, the Suspect confessed to have break into the shop twice, along with one Habu Tinda ‘m’ of Farm center Kano State. First broke is on 18/02/2021 at about 0030hrs, they stole away twenty four (24) bundles of Brocade Fabric (Shadda), valued at five hundred and ninety thousand naira (#590, 000. 00k), also on 01/06/2021, thirty eight bundles of Brocade Fabric (Shadda) and ten women wrappers, valued at nine hundred and seventy thousand two hundred naira (#970, 200. 00k). Effort to arrest his accomplice is on top gear, Suspect will be charged to Court upon completion the investigation.
On Raiding of Criminal Hideouts.
On 16/11/2021 at about 1900hrs, the police raid was conducted at Balago Black spots by Policemen attached to Kiyawa Division, the following Suspects were arrested;
- Musa Sabo ‘m’ age 30yrs old
- Musa Gwaraji ‘m’ age 40yrs olde
- Shehu Mayau ‘m’ age 45yrs old
- Sani Abdu ‘m’ age 50yrs old
- Sale Musa ‘m’ age 55yrs old
- Sule Kaila ‘m’ age 40yrs old, all of Balago town. Suspects will be charged to Court for prosecution.
Adding that the police have arrested Suspected Cattle rustlers / receiving stolen property.
On 11/11/2021 at about 1400hrs, a team of patrol team attached to Garki Divisional Police Headquarters, arrested one Sulaiman Abdullahi ‘m’ age 30yrs of Jarimawa Fulani Settlement, Abdu Wada ‘m’ age 38yrs of Kwalam village Taura LGA and Mustapha Musa ‘m’ age 38yrs old Ringim LGA, in possession of two (2) Cows strongly suspected to be stolen. Case will be charged to Court for prosecution.
The Commissioner of Police Jigawa State Police Command, CP Aliyu Sale Tafida, psc, urged residents to continue to pray for the State, the Nation and to report incidences to the nearest Police Station and not to take laws in their hands.
The Command will continue to remain resolute and steadfast in ensuring security of lives and properties.
