Jigawa NLC To Secure N10m Naira Loan To Assist Its Members

Jigawa state branch of the Nigeria labour congress said it will secure a ten billion naira loan from the central bank of Nigeria to engage civil servants in dry season farming.

 

 

The Chairman of the council, Comrade Sunusi Alhassan Muhammad made this known when the executive of the council paid a courtesy visit to Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar at government house Dutse.

 

 

The chairman represented by the vice-chairman of the council, Comrade Hazakilu Hussaini Kore said they were at the government house to brief governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar on the proposed policy and seek his approval.

 

He also briefed the governor on the NLC mission to build houses for civil servants through the federal mortgage bank.

 

Comrade Hazakilu Kore said they would ensure food security and reduce poverty as well as hardship being face by civil servants as a result of the covid19 pandemic.

 

The council used the visit to introduce the newly elected executive of the state joint negotiation council on labor matters.

 

Comrade Hazakilu Hassain, therefore, assured this continued support and cooperation to the present administration policies and programmes.
