The Jigawa State Ministry of Local Government has organized one-day training on capacity building for senior local government staff.
The participants three each were drawn from the 27 local councils.
The permanent secretary of the ministry Alhaji Abbas Ya,u, who represented the Commissioner, Ministry for Local Government Alhaji Kabiru Hassan Sugungun while declaring the workshop open pleaded with the participants to apply what they have learned in their place of duty.
He added that the essence of the workshop is to inculcate discipline among the staff of the local government.
While responding one of the participants Malam Jibrim Ahmed Tsakuwawa who is also the Head of the Department of Works at Dutse Local Government said they will use all that they have learned from the training to train junior staff of their of the various local government.
