Jigawa Local Government Service Commission Organises Two Day Workshop For LGA Staffs

The Jigawa Local Government Service Commission, JLSC, has organized a two-day workshop for Local Government Areas Staff on the issues that bother on maintenance of public assets.

Speaking chairman of the commission, Alhaji Yusuf Ahmed Bulangu said public assets now suffers due to negligence from government officials due to nonchalant attitude being shown by some public office holders.

In his welcome address, the chairman of the commission Alhaji Kabiru Alhassan Sugungun said the training was organized to discuss the impact of environmental health on diseases causes and prevention.

Adding that some common disease can be prevented by following simple instruction by health experts but due to negligence and ignorance, they grow bigger and become a menace to the society.

Sugungun charged both the participants and consultants to deliberate extensively on the subject matter for capacity building and improving the living standard of the general populace.

Also in his contribution, the executive chairman of the commission through his commissioner Alhaji Salisu Muazu Kanya said the staff officers and training officers are the engine room in local government administration, thus the rationale behind their nomination to attend the seminar and is meant to discuss issues bothering on human resources management in their respective local government councils.
