Jigawa LGA Service Commission Collaborate With Code Of Conduct Consult To Organize Capacity Building For  LG, HoDs

A two-day seminar organised by the code of conduct Bureau in Jigawa state Local Government Head of the department with a view to improve their working capacity and also to declare their assets.

In his paper, the deputy director code of conduct Madam Aije Arinze Ofor said the objective of the workshop is to sensitize the local government staff and assist them to declare their assets.

Adding that because the federal government has indicated interest to make them squinted with a view to attaining the government motive

She explained further that they are now targeting to sensitized every public officer in the country to declare their assets

She charged the participants to work according to the ethics of the code of conduct after the training and also charged them to be professional so as to meet the expected result.

Also speaking while declaring the workshop open the permanent member Jigawa State, local Government service commission Malam Salisu Muazu Kanya charged the participants to declare their true assets to desist from writing false information.

He charged them to be law-abiding by providing true information of their assets because it is a must for them to declare their assets.

He added that the aim of the seminar is to discuss the strict compliance with asset declaration and code of conduct for public officers as it is said that honesty is the key for compliance with the assets declaration which his resolution that both consultants and the participants will deliberate extensively on the subject matter, he stated.
