Jigawa Deputy Gov, Commissions BCDA Projects Own Constructed By  Senator Sankara

The  Deputy Director Monitoring And Evaluation of Border Communities Development Agency, BCDA, Alhaji Sadiq Abdullahi has said that the government in its wisdom consider the need of for creating the skill acquisition centers with that will carter for the need of the people especially the teaming populace living in communities across border town in Nigeria.

 

The Deputy Director while commissioning the Skill acquisition centers constructed by Senator Danladi Sankara said the federal government intends to fight insecurity and improved the living standard of its citizens especially within the border areas namely Chad, Niger Republic, Cameroon, Benin Republic, and the coastal communities in the southern parts of the country from Cross River to Lagos State who are also part of the border communities in Nigeria.

 

The Director noted that there are over 2000 border communities within the 105 border local government areas in the 21 Border States in the country which have benefited on various projects.
He further said that the border communities will serve as frontiers between Nigeria and other neighboring countries.

 

In his speech, while commissioning the center on behalf of the Jigawa state government, the State Deputy Governor Alhaji Umar Namaddi promised that the four centers constructed by the current serving senator Alhaji Sankara in Garki, Gagarawa, Taura and Gwiwa will be used as training centers to train the youths in various trades.

 

He then thanked BCDA and the federal government for creating the projects to assist the Jigawa State as he assured that the government will do everything possible to make very good use of the centers that will in turn enable the youths to create employment opportunities by themselves.

 

Namaddi explained further that these training will serve as a medium for capital development because it will help them to change their lives, he stated that all the centers will soon be open and people will start benefiting from it.

 

He then charged the four councils chairmen whose local governments these projects are situated to adequately take care of the centers for the benefit of the youths.

 

He added that the centers will be used to improve the life of people in those communities while urging the people living in the communities to make good use of the centers.

 

In the area of Water supply, the Deputy Governor added that the State Government has spent over two hundred million Naira on water projects all in a bid to provide clean water to people of the State.
