Jigawa @29: Badaru Declares August 27 As Public Holiday

The jigawa state Governor Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has approved Thursday, 27th  August, 2020 as Public holiday in commemoration of the 29th years Anniversary for  the creation of the State.

This was contained in a statement signed by the State Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Hussaini Ali Kila, the Governor felicitated with the entire People of Jigawa State and enjoined the People to pray for the State and the country at large while celebrating the day.

He also urged all public servants and the entire people of the State to utilize the one-day break in thanking the Almighty Allah for conducive atmosphere, peaceful co-existence for  various developmental projects so far recorded in the State.

Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar extended his condolences to the Family, of late olayinka sule and people of Jigawa state  over the death of the first Military Administrator of Jigawa State Brigadier General Olayinka Sule (rtd)

Olayinka sule who died on Sunday 23rd August, 2020 at the age of 72years.

 

On behalf of the people of jigawa state the government also prayed for him tAllah to forgive the gentle soul of the deceased, Governor

 

It was recalled that olayinka sule was among the active governors in the state who make a remarkable role in laying the foundation of Jigawa State.

 

The jigawa state Government also, sympathised with the families of those who died and others whose property were destroyed in flood in the State and the Country at large.

 

The Governor also warned people in the State to heed the early warnings by relevant government agencies to avert further consequences of such natural occurrences.
