Injustices and bad governance is caused as a result Government’s failure to observe the stipulated Federal character, whose effect is aiding insecurity in the country, the above assertion is contained in a communique signed by Dr, Hassan Abubakar Dikko the National Coordinator Jama’atul Izalatil Bid’a Wa Ikkamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS),
which was issued at the end of a three days, 20th Annual National seminar of the organization.

The seminar which has the theme: “Islamic perspectives on Justice and Security,” was held in Jos, the Plateau State capital and was organized by the directorate of education of JIBWIS.
The seminar which has in attendance over one thousand participants, has in their resolutions, observed with dismay that justice in Governance is decreasing due to failure of Government to observed federal character on appointments, that poverty, unemployment and illiteracy are the main causes of insecurity, it further said an increase in drug abuse led to insecurity, in the country.
The added that Justice in Governance is decreasing, as a result of failure of Government to observe the stipulated Federal character, whose effect is aiding insecurity in the country.The communique, while commending the federal Government for forming the presidential committee on dialogue and peaceful resolution of social challenges in the North, it also hopes that similar committee will be put in place to do same in other parts of the country.
Participants of the seminar, appealed to Government at all levels to intensify efforts aim at tackling the menace of poverty, unemployment, illiteracy and insecurity, by improving on the Agricultural sector, educational sector, as well as ensuring that specializations in appointing public servants is adhered to so as to avoid incompetence in handling public service.
The Communique, further appealed to the Federal Government to intensify effort in seeing that compensations are paid to affected victims.
It called on People to be loyal to constituted authorities, maintain law and order and to reports any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
