Issue Of Pension, Gratuity, And Pending Promotions Will Be Tackled Headlong By The Assembly-Chairman House Committee On Education

The Chairman Nasarawa State House of Assembly standing committee on Education, Honorable Abel Bala (PDP) Representing Nasarawa Eggon West, has assured the Provost, College of Education, Akwanga and his management team that the challenges of pension, gratuity, and promotion of staff of the institution will be addressed soon.
Abel Bala Yakubu stated this when he received the Provost College of Education Akwanga, Reverend Jonathan Thani, and other top management officers during the 2024 budget defense in his office recently.
The Chairman confirmed that is aware of some of the core challenges of the College, saying as the Chairman of Education, He will do the needful by ensuring that Education is given the needed support.
“The education committee will not relent in achieving our goals, especially on the issues of pension, gratuity, and pending promotions over the years”.
Also, the Chairman House Standing Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Honorable Hudu Alhaji Hudu received the Commissioner of Finance, Budget and Planning, Munirat Abdullahi, and her top management team on the 2024 budget defense at his office.
Appealing to the Commissioner to do something urgently to fast-track the release of funds to the Ministry, Departments, and Agencies to enable them to perform optimally in 2024.
He lamented where the State Government awarded some projects and the payment will be a problem, urging the commissioner to do the needful by addressing the situation.
The Commissioner of Finance, Budget and Planning, Munirat Abdullahi said the budget proposal of 2024 is in line with the State Government’s strategic plan to execute more people-oriented projects in the State.
In another vein, The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Danladi Jata’u has called on Mada and Eggon extraction of Nasarawa State to support the State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule’s peace initiative to reap more dividends of democracy in their various communities in the state.
Jatau made the call when he hosted the APC Mada Forum from Kokona Local Government Area, Aren Eggon of Kokona Local Government Area, and other groups at the State Assembly recently.
The Speaker told them to go back and unite with the aggrieved members of the APC and key into Governor Abdullahi Sule’s vision and mission of peacekeeping to Fastrack meaningful development in their various communities.
Jatau also explained that Governor Sule has played a vital role in his emergence as speaker of the 7th Assembly hence supporting him and shunning tribal, religious, and political differences.
