Irigwe Paramount Ruler, Rev. Ronku Aka, Confirms Killing Of Five Person On Sunday, As Bassa Council Chairman Pays Him A Condolence Visit

The Executive Chairman of Bassa Local Government Hon. Dr. Chindo Gona, has condoled with the people of Irigwe nation over killings of innocent citizens in the chiefdom
The Chairman who disclosed this during his visited the Irigwe Paramount Ruler, Rev. Ronku Aka in his palace and the families of those that lost their beloved once.
According to him, “I am here to condole with you, it pains me whenever I heard killings going on, we lost our beloved youths, who are the leaders of tomorrow when can we have such type of youth again”
Adding, he said “it is painful to lose these young ones, these killings must stop, I am sure one day God will expose the attackers, look at what the world is facing today, the COVID-19 pandemic, everybody is now panicked because of the virus pandemic, this killing must come to an end, Chindo explained.
“The government is with us, and is with Irigwe people” he said.
“The Governor sent relief materials to persons of concern and he is doing his best to see this killings come to an end not only in Bassa but in Plateau state,” said Chindo.
Responding, the Traditional Ruler said; “I lost a lot of my people, on Sunday, 5 people were killed including a Hausa boy whom we are still investigating to know what happen,” said Rev Ronku Aka.
“We are afraid of the pandemic virus but we are facing a lot of challenges by the Fulani gunmen killing us daily, we want these killings to come to an end.
“We appreciate the government for identifying with us and condoling with us, it is my prayer this killings will come to an end in Jesus name,” said Aka.
At the Miango traditional council, the chairman came when security meeting was going on, organized by the district head of Miango Chief Daniel Chega together with the STF sector 6 commander Lt. Col.T.A Ayoola and Police DPO Bassa Noel P.N “I appreciate your effort for calling a security meeting” Chindo said to security officials.
This calling is timely, this is what I want to see going on, to see there is peace on the plateau in my Local government area and Irigwe chiefdom. I am here to condole with the entire Irigwe nation; I visited the Brra Rigwe palace to condole with him and the entire Irigwe nation.
“I know irigwe people to be peace and loving people said Chindo, No religion preaches killings both Christianity and Islam, we are all brothers, how can a brother kill his own brother?
“We should embrace each other with love, by God grace this killings must come to an end. Chindo said.
The honourable chairman visited families that lost their beloved one’s during the attack that took place recently and the family of Abdulahi Nadabo the Hausa boy who was also killed. He took his time with all the families of the deceased, the families appreciate the good gesture of the political leader for showing such loved to them.
“This is the first time a political leader is coming to the grassroots to condole with affected family who lost their beloved once in an attack” said Daniel Anto.
The APC Political Leader said “We appreciate your coming to who love to us, this will go along to preach love and peace, thanks for coming to condole with us, our prayer is that let this killing end
The district head of Miango chief Daniel Chega appreciate the good gesture of the Chairman for condoling with them and giving relief assistance to affected person. “I appreciate your coming, thanks for assisting us with relief materials from the state government, our prayer these killings should come to an end in Jesus name,” said Chega.
