International Teachers ‘Day: “we must always celebrate our teachers”- Rt. Hon. Osanebi

unnamed (2)The Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi today said that teachers play a critical role in nation building and development and must be celebrated always as very important stakeholders.

The Deputy Speaker, in a statement on the occasion of the international teachers day, said that teachers determine the future of any nation and called for more investment in the education sector. Hear him: “I want to thank my primary and secondary school teachers who taught me. The role of teachers in the fabric of a nation’s existence cannot be overemphasized; they determine our future through our children.”

He also charged major stakeholders in the education sector to invest more in education development so that Nigerian Children can be outstanding in the international scene.   “Our children need strong educational foundations to be able to compete in the global arena. Hence, our great teachers must be celebrated. Like the Mission Statement of my Alma Mater.  Education nurtures our children to become adults of profound character.” He said, and called on every one to be grateful to teachers.

He congratulated teachers of Delta State in particular and wished them fruitful years ahead.
