Inspector General Of Police Removes Undie Aide As Plateau Commissioner, Appoints Bala Ciroma As New Police Commissioner

Undie Adie has been removed as Plateau Police Commissioner, he has been replaced by Yobe state-born Bala Ciroma, who was until his new position the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department.

The announcement of the new Police Commissioner was made on Tuesday.

He takes over from Undie Adie who has been directed to report to the Police Force Headquarters in Abuja with immediate effect.

According to Plateau Police Command, Spokesperson, Terna Tyopev, while confirming the arrival of the new Police Commissioner added that hand over procedures by the two commissioners of police have already taken place at the State Command headquarters in Jos.

Speaking the spokesperson said; “Today 26th June, 2018, a new commissioner of police CP Bala Ciroma has assumed duty as the commissioner of police, Plateau state command.”

The new CP, according to him, graduated from University of Maiduguri in 1988 and joined the Nigerian Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police on March 3, 1990, and has served in various capacities.

Ciroma who was one-time the Head of Operations at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Abuja, “has also served in virtually all the six geo-political zones of Nigeria and in all the departments of the NPF.”

As learnt prior to his new position as the Plateau State Commissioner, Mr. Ciroma was deputy commissioner of police, criminal investigation and intelligence department in Abuja.
