Insecurity: Our People Went Into Fasting And Prayers Despite N14.4 Billion Security Vote Barely 4 Years-Maku

The erstwhile minister of Information, Labaran Maku has chastised Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule’s inability to contain the security challenges disrupting farming and socio-economic activities in the State in spite of the huge amount released by the Federal Government monthly.

Maku says the people of Nasarawa State have resorted to fasting and prayers for God to deliver them from the hands of kidnappers.

“Due to the increasing cases of insecurity, our has gone spiritual by fasting and praying fervently before going to farm or places of businesses.

He gave the shocking revelation during a campaign rally in Akwanga, saying despite the monthly N30m security vote the State remains an arsenal of kidnapping and banditry.

The D.G Atiku Abubakar and Emmanuel Ombugadu campaign council said Governor Abdullahi Sule was not able to construct 10 km road in either Akwanga or Nasarawa Eggon after barely four years in office.

Besides, Labaran Maku further explained that the Governor did not commission a single project in Nasarawa north senatorial zone.

“The APC in Nasarawa State knows that they will not clinch this year’s election which is why they resorted to all forms of crafty ways to remain in power.

He called on electorates to go and get their Permanent Voters Card, as he explained that the PDP in the State will poll 70 percent of votes out of 100 in next month’s general election.

He identified religion as the core challenges affecting the development of northern Nigeria as a region.

Elder Mathew Akwe, a former Deputy Speaker of the defunct Plateau State buttressed that voting APC out of power can move Nigeria forward.

He said everything was grounded to a halt under the APC reign, stating that the seven and half years were agony and bloodshed.

Appealing to supporters to vote for Atiku Abubakar and Okawo as President and Vice President respectively as well vote for David Emmanuel Ombugadu and Usman Ohinoyi , including three senators, five House of Representatives members, and twenty-four House of Assembly members.

The Chairman elders forum from Nasarawa west, Usman Bagudu gave the assurance of bringing block votes from his zone.

The former Chairman Board of Trustees, Walid Jibrin thanked the party officials and supporters for the unity of purpose.

He gave the assurance that Atiku Abubakar will be victorious in next month’s Presidential election.

“From the bottom of my heart Atiku Abubakar is our next President, mark my words, he added.

Hon Beauty Sudar Aliyu , an aspirant for the House of Representatives representing Wamba/Akwanga/Nasarawa Eggon who represents the party woman leader averred that the emergence of PDP will be the solution to the suffering of the masses.

She pleaded with the womenfolk to change the narrative by voting in mass for PDP from top to bottom, saying no woman No nation.

According to her, ” Our Gubernatorial candidate, before you are women from across the thirteen Local Governments, don’t forget to remember us if we emerge victorious” she insisted.
