Industrial Court Adjourns Nasarawa Pensioners Case Vs Al-Makura To 11 February 2019

The National Industrial Court of Nigeria sitting in Makurdi has adjourned the case between Pensioners versus the State governor, Umaru Tanko Al-makura to 11 February, 2019.

 

About 1,189 Pensioners filed a litigation challenging the state government over nonpayment of gratuity and pension arrears.

 

Bar.Sunday Okpale, Counsel to the complaints while addressing the court said that his clients were being paid on percentage monthly since September 2016.

 

The counsel said that the case was scheduled for hearing, but the respondents who are the state government, the state pension’s board and the board’s Director General were not represented in court.

 

The complainants Counsel prayed the court to grant summary judgment in the case to compel the state government to pay his clients the balance of their entitlements.

 

The presiding Judge, Justice Salisu Danjida adjourned the case until February 11, 2019, for summary judgment.
