The leadership of Imo PDP under the Chairmanship of State Party Chairman, Sir.Martin Ejiogu, on Friday, July 24th 2020 at Okigwe Road Party Secretariat Owerri, in a press briefing with newsmen revealed that Gov.Hope Uzodinma, of APC, have received whooping sum of over N175.7 billion.
Hon.Ejiogu, while speaking said monies in billions came into the State as a combination of revenues from the Federal Allocation Accounts, FAC, for the state and from the State’s Internally Generated Revenue with in his 7 months in office as Governor, yet nothing tangible can be seen in the state.
The Imo PDP Chairman who threw his oral bomb against Gov.Hope Uzodinma’s government, described the Governor as a product made by the Supreme Court Governor, not Imo people.
“PDP in Imo State is never the problem of Uzodinma rather those that made him Governor are his major problem. We all know that he trying to settle them”, Ejiogu submitted.
“We are also aware that the Governor under his regime has invited the Traditional Rulers in the State and charged them (Royal Fathers in the State) to embark on a protest against Imo PDP. Traditional Rulers should not allow the Governor to use them. Traditional Rulers are not political merchants and they should be far away from politics as custodians of culture and traditions”,Ejiogu stated.
He called on the Governor to rescind its decision to drag the Traditional Rulers in Imo State into his own private political issues and affairs, even as he advised the Monarchs in the state not to sacrifice their hard earned images and respects on the altar of fear of the unknown and temporary deprivations and depravation by the regime of Gov.Hope.
The Imo PDP Chairman charged the Governor to pay Imo Civil Servants their unpaid salaries and settle the pension arrears.
He should retrace his steps and think of how to offer good governance to the people of Imo State and stop fighting the PDP in the State.
The PDP boss, Sir.Ejiogu more so charged Gov.Uzodinma to do well and give Imolites a complete report on how his regime utilized the N175.7billion which according to Sir. Ejiogu disclosed that sources from insider the Govt.House confirmed that was received in the 7 months.
