The religious authority of St. John’s Anglican Church Ihiagwa in Owerri West LGA of Imo State of Nigeria, has given an award of honor to an Imo-based-Journalist, Comr. Princely Onyenwe, Imo State Nigeria, is also Bureau Chief of online media platform known as “9News Nigeria”.
Onyenwe who bagged a Philanthropist Award at St. John’s Anglican Church Ihiagwa also gave instant empowerment to Ihiagwa youths and charged them to be of good citizens of the federal republic of Nigeria.
The event took place at the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Diocese of Egbu IHIAGWA Archdeaconry headquarter Ihiagwa Owerri.
The event was organized by the Anglican Youth Fellowship AYF and Choir of the church where Comrade Ambassador PRINCELY ONYENWE was honored with a Philanthropist Award titled “Opara Owerri EJi Eje Mba”
The youths of the church Confirm the honor in recognition of his outstanding and selfless services towards God and humanity dated this Sunday the 21st November 2021.
While speaking with the press, the youth leader of the church Bro Kindness Eze told the youths of his outstanding services in the church and his contributions made to improve society.
It implies that Opara Owerri EJi EJe Mba means his People are very proud of him coupled with his services in both the public domain and the church of God and his philanthropy in the zone and the state en-large.
In the theme of the AYF youth day celebration “Go Forward”, Rev Dr. Hamlet Ihenacho, the curate of the church advised the NIGERIAN youths to do those things that will bring good names to them and ignore the bad and easy ways of life that may eventually lead to destruction.
The vicar of St John’s Anglican Church Ihiagwa, Venerable Ugochukwu Ekeada, JP told the awardees that the reason behind an honour is for more service. He also advised them to live up to expectations to continue in their respective talents and services to help the church of God.
There are two categories of AYF award which are the recognition of the AYF patrons and the Honourable awardees among which the Owerri born Journalists, Human rights activists, grassroots mobilizer, community leader and a Justice cum Good governance advocate, Princely Ugochukwu Onyenwe was honored.
While responding to appreciate the honour, Princely Onyenwe gave instant empowerment to Eight Youths of IHIAGWA from the Eight villages of both Dindi and Chimelem Ihiagwa Owerri West the church.
The philanthropist assured to give the 8- Ihiagwa cum st John’s Anglican Church youths UTME JAMB forms and promised to d more for the church of God not only in Imo state but to extend such gesture to the continents of the world.
The event featured great Personalities, Media practitioners, The bench and Bar, Government Officials, Community Leaders, Youths, Women groups Friends, and well-wishers from all works of life.
