Imo Based Media Practitioners Forum, IBMPF, is a group of media practitioners, bloggers and journalists of like minds who are based in Imo State.

As the above nomenclatures implies, they are Nigerians who loves the practical aspect of media profession with great passion for service to humanity and divinity.

Members of the Imo Based Media Practitioners Forum, IBMPF, paving waves for efficiency in quality media delivery at any given time.

Membership cuts across the 27 LGA’s of Imo State, whereas a very large of the IBMPF members are from various States of the Federal Republic of Nigeria but based and domicile in Imo State as their base for the media profession.

Amongst members are core journalists from the print, electronics and social media even the traditional media, while so many of them are Television and Radio Broadcasters who resides in Imo State.

Though, some members of IBMPF are from Ebonyi, Abia, Kogi, Adamawa, Uyo, Calabar, Lagos and Rivers States, while others are from Anambra, Enugu and Bayelsa States but based in Imo and practical practicing in Imo State.

The media platform was established on January 15th 2020, as a welfare group, aimed at strengthening and assisting each other, though, many are registered members of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, Imo State Chapter.

Expressing his profound joy,the President of Imo Based Media Practitioners Forum, IBMPF, Hon.Deacon Daniel Opara (Danjay), who is the Publisher, ThePressman Newspaper (Online) and also the Editor, Defender Express Newspaper Owerri, expressed satisfaction with the heights of leadership achievements and breakthroughs so far on ground since the establishment and formation of the media group.

“We are members of Imo State Based Media Practitioners Forum, IBMPF. A very notable large number of us are trained and practicing journalists in Imo State with vaxed knowledge in news writing. We are are sure that that many of us are news-bloggers and broadcast journalists doing great exploits in our respective media organizations in Imo State”.

“Notably, all the members of IBMPF are proactive, up and doing in our various related media activities. We are media deliverers. We are proficient writers always ready to hit the ground running as it concerns ability to effectively deliver on our core mandates which is to ensure that we make news from nothing to something;

“We are poised to offer quality media services as watchdogs of the society. Educating and enlightening the people. Feeding the masses with true and reliable information from right and genuine sources;

“Promoting quality leadership, good governance, religious activities, academic programme, cultural heritage events. We are into multiple divers of lifestyles. We are ever ready to dwell at the nooks and crannies, hinterlands in quest for breaking news. We are duty calls to service mankind”, Danjay submitted.

The IBMPF President, Deacon Opara, while speaking to a cross section of newsmen in Owerri, promised to serve the group with heart and mighty, even as he vowed to navigate the platform to their expected promised land filled with milk and honey.

Danjay, moreso, ceased the opportunity, appealed to members of IBMPF to remain united, formidable, focused and move progressively in the name of love.
