Imo APC Peace Reconciliation Committee: Uzodinma’s Guber Candidacy Beyond Repair, But Nwosu Our Choice-Okorocha

As part of ensuring a lasting peace within the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the country ahead of the 2019 general elections, the National Working Committee of the party have appointed various bigwigs from the party as members of the Reconciliation Committees to go to various states for peace.
Sent to Imo State as the Chairman of the APC Reconciliation Committee, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who is also the Kano State Governor, with the members of the Committee today visited Imo State, for peace making between those aggrieved members of the party after the conclusion of the primaries in APC in Nigeria, some weeks ago.
Gov. Rochas Okorocha, of Imo State, while speaking during the peace meeting with some members of Imo APC who believed in the leadership of the State Governor at the Imo International Convention Center, IICC, Owerri, expressed delight and satisfaction with the level of men of integrity sent to Imo to make peace led by the Kano State Governor.
He said “their visit must have shown wisdom because Ganduje who is my good brother and friend was involved. Sen. Godswill Akpabio is also a good brother and friend; he attended my one of my Daughter’s wedding in the past and believes in his style of relationship.
There should not have been any reason for this meeting. It is true we are running a family government as one political big family into APC. President Mohammadu Buhari is a good man and I have promised to support him. I gave the name APC during the formation of the party. The red in the logo was from APGA courtesy of my innovation (Okorocha) because so many people rejected APC even Sen. Hope Uzodinma was still in PDP as one of my biggest opposition. They never believed that APC will stand, but today they have entered into the party from back door and hijacked the party. I have done great as a Governor and as a leader in South East.
I have conducted LGA elections but they said I am not doing anything for the people of the State”,Gov. Rochas stated.
“All I know is that the candidacy of Hope Uzodinma is injustice from the National Chairman of APC, Comr. Adams Oshiohmole, alone. Imo is now the headquarters of injustice because of Uzodinma’s candidature. Most of the APC leaders in Nigeria cannot and never ever come to Imo State. I and my followers are for Buhari. I brought Adams into APC and made him the National Chairman of APC. He stole the mandate of Uche Nwosu and that of Imo APC. Sen. Hope is not our choice. I make bold to say that Imolites are in support of Uche Nwosu everywhere you go in the state you will notice it. I wish you can go to the streets of Owerri”, he reiterated.
“I am not defecting to any other party. Let me assure you that all those candidates you have nominated must surely dump APC very soonest”, he threatened the Committee.
“The issue and situation now in Imo APC on the candidacy of Uzodinma as the Imo APC guber flagbearer have gone beyond repair”,Rochas acknowledged.
He said there is no Mekwantaism, he cited Rochas dictionary.
He said that Alhaji Ganduje must be honoured in Imo State, says Rochas.
Speaking to the crowd, the Kano State Gov. Ganduje, described Okorocha as the most trust worthy son of Kano State.
Governor, Ganduje further more described Rochas as a wonderful man who have done well even as a Governor.
“We were here in Imo just to make peace in APC. We were sent to do so by the National Working Committee of APC as directed by President Buhari to make peace for the growth of APC for the people of Imo State ahead of 2019 polls. What we saw on the screen was the truth”, Kano Governor said.
“I know Alhaji Ahmed Gulak very well even more than you people in Imo State and me must achieve peace”, he expressed optimism.
Ganduje thanked Okorocha for not dumping APC and commended him for his promise to support Buhari’s re-election bid, come 2019.
The reconciliation chairman said Imo APC would be given the best candidate as they deserve.
Adding his voice, Sen.Godswill Akpabio: said I have already concurred to all the Committee Chairman has said.
Sen.Akpabio, described Okorocha as a great orator and a performer.
“I taught Rochas a lot of things before I left office as a Governor (former) of Akwa Ibom State, now I am a Senator, Akpabio claimed.
Akpabio, while speaking, expressed satisfaction to be a member APC, even as he disclosed that the NWC of the party is looking forward to get peace result.
“APC slogan in Akwa Ibom is “we they look, we the go”, says Akpabio.
Meanwhile, the Imo APC Chairman, Hon.Dan Nwafor, said all Imo APC faithful needed is justice to fix Uche Nwosu’s name as the APC guber candidate based on the outcome of the Oct.6th primaries.
“Peace cannot be achieved without justice”, he concluded.
