I’m Leaving Nasarawa State Far Better Than I Met It-Al-Makura

Less than 24 hours to vacate the seat of power, the outgoing governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has attested that is leaving Nasarawa State far better than he met it in 2011.

 

Al-Makura disclosed this during a broadcast, the governor averred that the State Government in a bid to create job to the teaming youth has shortlisted 1,400 administrative officers screened and awaiting employment.

 

He hinted that the State Government upgraded 4 skills Acquisition centres cut across the State, adding that the State Government has installed four fertilizer blending plants in different locations.

 

The Governor while commissioning the new High Court of Justice edifice donated the premises to the Court of Appeal.

 

Al-Makura sue for the cooperation of his successor and appealed to him accord topmost attention to Comprehensive Special School and Children’s Home which was commissioned today Tuesday.

 

The outgoing governor said the State Government has provided security to Public schools under the Safe School Initiative through fencing and renovation schools.

 

In the area of electricity, the governor said 38 transformers were procured and distributed to boost electricity supply.

 

In the area of water supply, the outgoing governor maintained that his administration has invested in Lafia, Akwanga,Nasarawa , Nasarawa Eggon and Daddere water scheme.

 

In the health sector Umaru Tanko Al-Makura indicated that the outgoing administration has built Taal Disease And Research Centre to tackle ailments like Lassa fever, Ebola, Yellow fever and amongst others.

 

He also commissioned the new veterinary clinic, Lafia, Local Government Civil Service Commission; he further commissioned a Magistrate court in Kwandare.
