Ihedioha Presents Rebuild Imo Budget Of N197b As 2020 Proposal To Imo Assembly

The Imo State Governor, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, was on Wednesday, Nov.28th 2019,presented the sum of N197b as the year 2020 budget proposal for Imo State.

 

The budget proposal was legitimately, officially presented and was received by the Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon.Chiji Collins,through the Clerk of the House, Barr.Mrs.Chinelo Emeghara.

 

The budget according to the Governor, the budget was tagged as “Rebuild Imo Budget I”, which he noted must be for transparency, accountability and openness for the general interest of the state.

 

The total of N91,377,822,129 as recurrent expenditure, whereas N106,229,450,200 represent 53% of the proposal budget is for capital expenditure.

 

Governor Ihedioha, while speaking, assured Imo people of quality leadership that shall be anchored on rule of law,due-process,accountability and accountability,even as he disclosed that the construction of roads have started on about 25 road,whereas more roads will be done in the 27 rural roads to fast track economic development in Imo State.

 

He therefore called on Imolites to remain patient with his Rebuild Mission led administration,as he assured effective security of lives and properties of the Imo people.

 

 

In his words, the Governor, said,” I am determined to offer credible leadership, the budget proposal is aimed at restoring confidence on Imo people and it is anchored on my manifestos, we shall have respect for the rule of law. Our focus is on Agriculture, Health, Human Capacity Development, Women,Youths Empowerment, Job/Wealth Creation for the good people of Imo State”.

 

The Governor therefore reassured to run an open door government partnership and to rebuild Imo State Institutionally,Economically and Infrastructurally.
