Igbos Condemn Invasion On Rocha Residence By EFCC

A stakeholder of Igbo community in Plateau State Chief Frank Uche has condemned in its totality the Economic And Financial Crime Commission, EFCC invasion of the Former Governor of Imo state ,Sen.Rocha Okorocha resident in Maitama Abuja .

Chief Uche in an interview with this medium in Jos says ,he condemned the act as undemocratic and a plot to witch hunt the Igbo in Nigeria.

He says, the EFCC acted unprofessional for climbing and breaking the sailing of a former governor and a  serving Senator of the federal republic of Nigeria .

According to him, we are not supporting any act of corruption in Nigeria whether committed by the Igbo or any of the tribes or Christian /Muslims but the manner in which the operations were carried out is not done well so let the right thing be done ..

Uche disclosed that they’re not supporting anyone who is engaged in kidnapping and banditry but what happened Rocha’s residence was a political charade to deny the Igbo nation a chance to participate in electioneering processes.

He lamented that the action demonstrated by government officials is a fundamental abuse of his right, which is capable of triggering crises.

Frank Uche called on the President Muhammadu Buhari to swiftly intervene and avert EFCC’s illegal invasion of privacy and ensure that the right thing be done by following the proper channel rather than bridging the fundamental right of citizens.

He said the information revealed that as they were at his residence to arrest him for almost 9 hours and he refused to come out they should have dropped an invitation to him inviting him for questioning rather than embarrassing and harassing him in front of his family.

Uche stressed that there were so many threats for him to drop his presidential ambition which he refused to do so and the next action was to invade his privacy.

However , he vehemently refused to step down his ambition by insisting to participate in the forthcoming primaries of the APC presidential primaries.

He frowned that the invasion was politically motivated to tarnish his image and scheme him out of the race is very bad  .

Uche prayed to God Almighty to restore us back the Nigeria, which the founding fathers handed over to us .
