Ibile Progressives Slams Omisore, Hails Oyetola Over The Disqualification

A pro -Oyetola group, Imole Progressives Association has slammed Senator Iyiola Omisore as unfit to fly the flag of the APC in the next election, justifying the disqualification of the Ile Ife Senator from the guber race.

In a statement issued today at Ilesa by its coordinator, Adesoji Adedigba, the group praised the Minister of Blue Economy for weeding out the likes of Iyiola Omisore and others from the race on the ground that APC cannot afford to have a candidate with so much baggage like Senator Omisore.

“ Just look at Prince Omisore records. How can any reasonable political party field such a candidate ? Who will claim not to know the antecedents of Omisore?

“ We should praise our leader, Baba Oyetola for the courage to deal with the situation. Oyetola is a leader. Prince Omisore can quit the party if he likes.

“ The bulk of Osun APC supports the disqualification of Omisore. Even the people of Ile Ife are happy. Is Omisore a progressive at all? The Internet does not forget. We cannot soil APC garment by fielding an Omisore.

“ We call on the leadership of our party to uphold the disqualification of Prince Omisore. The NWC should uphold the report of the screening committee. Any attempt to return Prince Omisore to the race will spell doom for our party in Osun state”, the group declared.

The group vowed to move ahead to release more details on why Omisore cannot be the candidate of the party, vowing that “ we stand with our leader, Adegboyega Oyetola and our boss, Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji”
