Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State on Sunday said in Nigeria now, it is only APC and other political parties.
According to him, Nigerians should have confidence in the APC led regime, saying for many years People Democratic Party, PDP, had brought hardship to Nigerians.
He added that all plot against him and president Muhammad Buhari can’t yield them any positive results having been confirmed as the sole gubernatorial candidate for the All Progressive Congress, APC, to run for the second time in office ahead the 2019 general elections.
The chairman of the National Secretary ,Sen. Olu Gbenga Obadara said that due to the security challenges in the state, “we want the delegates to speak on which of the option they prefer.
However, before the question was earlier thrown out to the audience to respond to, there are ballot boxes already arranged ready for the delegates to cast their votes with the name tag on each of the 17 local government areas.
He asked whether there is anybody who have contrary view but the delegates all responded no and the Speaker moved the motion to affirm the incumbent governor as the authentic candidate to run to party ticket in February, 2019 .
And the former deputy governor Deme Pauline Tallen seconded the motion and no contrary motion was raised, Gbenga Obadara told the delegates their decision had affirmed that on the 30th September, the entire people have agreed to endorse governor Lalong through voice voting which is affirmed.
Governor Simon Lalong thanked the delegates especially those of southern senatorial district who find him worthy to be given the second chance to serve the people of Plateau State in this capacity.
He applauded them for reposing confidence in his leadership and promised to consolidate more on the payment of salary and initiating projects that have direct impact to the well-being of citizenry if given the mandate.
Lalong assured workers of his administration readiness to deliver on his campaign promises and he maintained that they should vote him and they will not regret .
