The former Governor of Nasarawa State, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, and the outgoing senator of the federal republic of Nigeria have cleared the air on an order for the ruling All Progressives Congress to vacate his building.

The two-term Governor of Nasarawa State (2011-2019) and senator representing Nasarawa South, said he did not give it to APC but rather to Engineer Abdullahi Sule as part of his contribution to his campaign.

He, however, said there is no order by the court to evacuate them from the building, but rather a mischief to vacate him, attaching the unfolding leadership crisis that is brewing in the State Assembly currently.

But Al-Makura while reacting said he donated his building, to Governor Abdullahi Sule’s campaign activities in 2019 and 2023 and not to the All-Progressives Congress (APC) in the State.

Confirming that it was the Governor who said he no longer needed the building since campaign activities were over but not me fighting him or them.

“I was not the one that asked them to vacate the office; it was yesterday somebody was even telling me that the Governor has sent his Director General to come and evacuate all their properties from the building, if not, I was not aware that they have evacuated their properties from the building,” Al-Makura said.

He said he had no issues with the current Governor over the said building.
