I Didn’t Ask Amos Jock To Withdraw Suit On Rape Of His Daughter -JS DFS

The Director of Finance and Supplies (DFS) of Jos South Local Government Council of Plateau State , has refuted the purported publication in Sahara Reporters which was credited to one Security Officer of the LGC, Amos Jock accusing him of forcing him to withdraw the suit he filed against a fellow security guard who raped and molested his four-year-old daughter .
In an interview with our correspondent in Jos, the DFS said,” I didn’t ask him to withdraw the suit he filed in court but I invited the Assistant Director of Works of the LGC, being his direct boss to come and settle the matter amongst his subordinates.
According to the DFS, Mr. Amos Jock has invited a Police Officer to the LGC quarters, where I met them, they were about living with the police that arrested the accused Mr. Dauda, who is a co-security man that was alleged to have raped a four-year-old minor.
The Jos South LGC DFS vehemently denied any forceful demand for the withdrawal of the matter but merely requested the officer in charge of the affected officers to come in so that the quarters will not be left unprotected in the event of the arrest of the accused. The DFS insisted he meant no harm but calling on the officer of the relevant department to be aware of the ongoing at the LGC. He insisted that his kind gesture was wrongly misinterpreted.
The DFS further hinted that as a director who is residents within the LGC quarters, he urged the police officer invited to officially report the security guard to his boss at the Works Department instead arresting him on his duty post without the knowledge of the council and any other replacement.
The DFS vehemently denied the Sahara Reporters story dated 28th August 2019, titled, “Exposed How Local Government Council Director in Jos threatened man to withdraw daughter’s sexual assault case”. The DFS vehemently denied stopping anyone from seeking justice, not even advising Jock from seeking his legal right.
The DFS further hinted that the matter is under investigation by the security agency and the matter is not withdrawn as being circulated by Sahara Reporters as the accused has been cooling his feet in detention.
Mr. Jock, it was however learned, spoke to Sahara Reporters on Wednesday, that his daughter was allegedly sexually abused on Friday evening by one Mr. Dauda a security guard with the LGC.
Our investigation revealed that the father of the molested girl was never forced to withdraw the matter at the Police Station but was done voluntarily initially before the Director of Works of the LGC.
