Honorable Mohammed Garba Isimbambi, The Member representing Toto/Gadabuke, of the former New Nigeria People’s Party of the 7th Assembly said he defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress because of calls by his supporters.
Speaking shortly after he tabled down his resignation letter to the State Secretariat of the NNPP in Lafia at the weekend.
Isimbambi reeled out that his core supporters are chiefly supporters of APC who joined him when he jumped ship from the APC to the NNPP, A platform where he actualized his political dream.
“The NNPP has two factions at the headquarters which negatively affects the party”, I’m not comfortable with the new development in the party”. He said
“I was with my people before now and I’m back to my former party as demanded by them”.
Adding that the internal rumpus at the national headquarters of the party is another reason for his defection.
The former NNPP lawmaker described the State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule as a messiah of the people of Toto-Gadabuke constituency.
He listed some of the remarkable achievements recorded under Engineer Abdullahi Sule including the upgrade of the stool of Paramount ruler of Toto to first class Chief.
“This alone is a remarkable feat to the people of my constituency,” Said Honorable Isimbambi.
He said the Governor awarded the contract for the construction of the proposed mini stadium to the tune of N900m, upgrade of the Ugya-Toto-Umaisha surface dressing road to asphalt road.
He also applauded the State Governor for touching the lives of his constituents in all ramifications as well the proposed 3 km township road in the 13 Local Governments which Toto is inclusive as well total remodeling and renovation of scores of primary and Secondary schools respectively.
Other projects also include his holistic approach to tackling erosion which has taken over the Local Government, He also commended the State Government, and Saying Engineer Abdullahi Sule has exceeded All Expectations
“AcresaL just visited Toto Local Government on the issue of erosion”, what else do we need from Governor Abdullahi Sule, He asked.
