I Am Still In PDP, Former AGMA Leader Clears The Air

A critical stakeholder of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Hajiya Farida Umar has cleared the air on some viral posts trending on social media, stating that she did not defect to the new political party, ADC, the African Democratic Congress.

According to her,” My attention has been drawn to a recent news release regarding the inauguration of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Steering Committees in Nasarawa State, in which my name was included as a member.

I appreciate the recognition, but I wish to make it clear that I am not a member of the ADC. I remain a proud, loyal, and committed member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Chiroma Ward of Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

“Where I have continuously contributed to the party’s growth and activities, I can tell you that I’m still contributing towards the growth and development of the PDP”.

I kindly urge the public and political stakeholders to note my unwavering commitment to the PDP and disregard any assumptions of my affiliation with another political party, she added.

Farida Umar, a front liner for the slut of PDP National Ex-officio position from the North-Central zone and the most favoured before she was called by critical stakeholders of the party from the zone to step down for her opponent, Sudar Aliyu in the last election held at Jos, the Plateau State capital.
