I Am Inheriting An Empty Treasury Says Bauchi New Governor

muhammed-abubakarThe newly sworn in Bauchi State Governor Barrister Mohammed Abdullahi   Abubakar has lamented that the administration met an empty treasury, as he also lamented about the havoc caused by the outgoing Peoples Democratic Party administration in the last 16 years.

Speaking shortly after taken oath of office administered by the State Acting Chief Judge, Justice Rabi Talatu Umar at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium Bauchi, the Governor said he will later give facts and figures of the state treasury to the people of the state saying “the state coffer is completely empty.

He appealed to the traditional, religious and community leaders in the state to educate the people on economy condition of Bauchi state.

“The people will have to give us time to correct all wrongs perpetrated by the PDP administration. The people have to understand and be Patients with us because it’s not going to be an easy task.

“I want to assure the people of Bauchi state that we are equal to the task of bringing out the state out of the woods.

Barrister Abubakar, who was sworn in along with his deputy, Eng Nuhu Gidado commended the traditional and religious leaders for their prayers which culminated to a successful conduct of the last election.

He also commended the people for their sacrifice and endurance in ensuring they voted for the party of their choice without hindrance from the power that be.

Earlier, the deputy Chairman of the swearing in committee, Eng Maladi Yusuf thanked the new administration of APC for the opportunity given to the committee members to serve.

He then prayed that Almighty Allah will guide them in their numerous task ahead to ensure that the new administration succeed.

Dignitaries who graced the occasion include members of the National and state State Assembly’s elect, Royal fathers, religious leaders but the immediate last Governor Isa Yuguda was conspiracy absent as there were reports that he did the handing over ceremony at the government early.
