How We Killed 3 Suspected Female Bombers In Maiduguri, Says Police
Borno State Police Command has given details how it killed three suspectd female suicide bombers Friday morning after they made effort to enter into Maiduguri in order to cause mayhem.
Spokesperson of the Police Command in the state, Mr Victor Isuku, said that the bombers were strapped with Improved Explosive Device (IEDs) on their bodies.
Speaking in the statement he said; “This morning at about 05:30hrs , three female suicide bombers with IED strapped to their bodies were sighted by military patrol team in Umarari village along Maiduguri/Damboa road near Mulai. They were moving towards Maiduguri.”
“They were promptly gun down and the IED on two of them exploded killing all three of them,” he said.
According to Mr Victor he said that the Police Bomb Disposal Unit was mobilized to the scene immediately, adding that; “The unexploded IED on the third was rendered safe and detonated by Police Bomb Disposal Unit who promptly mobilized to the scene.”
