How Okorocha, Nwosu, Land Ministry, Frustrated My Projects-Chief Okwara

An Imo-Lagos-based Industrialist Chief Livinus Okwara, Chief Executive Officer, CEO, Rimax Computers Ltd. Ikeji Lagos State, but a native of Ideato South LGA, Imo State, has recently in Owerri, lamented against what he described as frustration of his industrialization plans for the development of Imo State, by the immediate past administration of Chief Sen.Rochas Okorocha.

Chief Okwara, have continued to remain as the first Nigerian man who brought into Nigeria Computers in the 1970’s.

As an industrialist, Chief Livinus, have given over 200,000 Scholarship Nationwide to Nigerian youths, irrespective of their tribes and religion.

According to Chief Livinus Okwara, who spoke to newsmen in Owerri, revealed that about 44 pilots of lands (Industrial Estate) with Certificate of Ownership, CofO, was officially allocated to him at Naze Area of Owerri North LGA, Imo State, by the then Imo Civilian Governor, Late Sam Onunaka Mbakwe, since 1983,to build and establish an industry, but due to alleged unpaid compensation to the principal land owners, the land remains fallow.

He expressed worry that all his efforts to be given due support for the development of the land proved worthless, until about 8 years ago, when the immediate past administration of government of Chief Rochas, through his son-in-law, Hon.Uche Nwosu, who was the former Commissioner for Lands, then went into his land at Naze along Owerri/Aba Road, where he divided his 44 plots of land into two, and allocated some to a Chinese Company, known as Jigsow Company.

“My Land was never revoked. I have earlier commenced foundations and perimeter fencing, but each time I started any kind of block work, they would go and destroy my hard earn money. They have frustrated me on that land for over four (4) years. Sen. Rochas Okorocha and Hon. Uche Nwosu including the management of Owerri Capital Development Authority, OCDA, staffers (Workers) who have also failed to find out my files in there with them”.

“I was to get my CofO. I even went to Court since 2013. I dragged them (Okorocha, Nwosu, Imo Ministry of Lands and OCDA) to Court. They hanged my lands”, Chief Okwara submitted.

According to Chief Livinus,” I am sincerely appealing to the Imo State Government under Governor Emeka Ihedioha, as part encouraging my vision to industrialize Imo for youth employment and job creation, give me back my lands so that, I would be able to complete my projects which is aimed and targeted at the effective development of Imo State through Industrialization. My plans would surely reduce youth unemployment. So many letters I have written all to no avail. I have written to the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Land Matters in Imo State”, Chief Okwara revealed.

 

He more so, appealed to Gov.Ihedioha to assist him restore his land.

Meanwhile, the General Manager of OCDA, Hon.Chimji Ejiogu, have been requested to please ensure that Chief Okwara’s land files is found, as such would motivate his spirit to continue his industrialization projects for the sake of humanity and posterity.
