How Lalong Allegedly Frustrated Tinubu Presidential Election, Losses Polling Unit To LP

It is no longer news that Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau State, the Director General of the Presidential Campaign Council of Tinubu /Shettima lost his polling unit to Labour Party (LP) on 25th February 2023 when the Presidential Election, was held as his unit got 88 votes for Tinubu leaving the LP with the highest number of votes of 104.

However, what is on news is how and why he lost his polling unit as well as losing Plateau to the Labour party, it is also on record that the incumbent governor Lalong failed to deliver Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his Ward and entire Shendam Local Government Area of Plateau State.

This medium finding from party stalwarts and chieftains who pleaded anonymity stated that it is evidently clear that Governor Lalong despite the fact he occupied the DG Position of Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council, allegedly doesn’t want Tinubu to win the Presidential election.

Political pundits in the state believe that right from the Primaries election, Governor Lalong worked harder to deliver his boss former Minister of Transportation Rt Hon Chubuke Ameachi.

It was on record that the current Member of the Federal House of Representatives Shendam/Mikang/Quanpan Constituency Hon. Komsol Longgap managed and got 28 delegates for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed from Plateau State. All the remaining delegates were cornered to Ameachi by Lalong yet he lost the Primaries Election to Tinubu.

Playing along the gallery, Governor Lalong lobbied and got an appointment as Tinubu Campaign DG to ensure that he allegedly paved the way to hinder the chances of winning the election. Lalong couldn’t call meetings with critical stakeholders in Plateau State which should be a base for strategizing to winning the election.

Lalong failed to address members of the PCC who are from Plateau State rather he chose to go around flying on aircraft without yielding any results.

With the lackadaisical attitude of Governor Lalong that he couldn’t win the election for Senator Bola Ahmed in his polling units. How could a Campaign DG who is the incumbent governor lose an election in his polling unit? Is the governor truly working for the candidature of Tinubu at all? The result clearly shows that APC lost 88 to 104 votes for LP.

It was learned that Lalong denied Tinubu audience which was the highest form of unpatriotism. It was Shielk Yahaya Jingle who welcomed Asiwaju in his residence in Jos North.

Additionally, the DG of PCC and incumbent governor of Plateau State Rt Hon Simon Bako Lalong lost his polling unit with 104 highest votes for Labour Party (LP) against 88 votes for APC Presidential Election. No wonder Governor Lalong failed his Senatorial Election with a 57172 gap to PDP Candidate Napoleon Bali.

In a press statement issued in Jos by APC Plateau Youth, they applauded Hon Komsol Longgap and Hon Yakmut Alhassan for their commitments to promoting the candidature of Tinubu in Plateau State.

“As Progressives Youth of our great party, we are grateful for the efforts made by Hon Komsol Longgap and Hon Yakmut for working harder to deliver their polling units to Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.” We are aware how Governor Lalong frustrated the campaign of Tinubu “.

For Lalong to lose out in his polling unit proved that he didn’t work for Tinubu. “

” We heartily congratulate the President-Elect Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his Victory at the poll.”. Despite all the odds of the Presidential election, God trump victory.

The group noted that any reward coming from President-Elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu should consider Komsol and Yakmut and other critical Stakeholders for their hard work and commitment to Promoting the Candidature of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

As APC Faithful in Plateau, we applaud the efforts of Hon Komsol Longgap House of Rep Member and Da Pauline Tallen Minister of Women Affairs for delivery their Polling Units to Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Komsol scored 140 votes for Asiwaju Tinubu of APC while Peter Obi of Labour Party scored 65 and Atiku of PDP scored 8.

This further proves that komsol is well-rooted in his ward and unit. One would be tempted to ask was Lalong truly work for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Presidential election or if he Nicodemusly worked for Peter Obi of LP who scored the highest votes in his  Polling Unit. What influence does Lalong have as DG and Governor that he failed the election?
