Jigawa State has refused to release land for community center for Adult Education two months after the Federal government wrote to Jigawa state seeking for land to construct community learning center in the state, as gathered the approval from the state over the land has not been granted, as it is now there has not been any response from the state ministry of education.
Sources from the federal education sector in the State told this medium that; “is a slap in our face, a state like Jigawa which has good name and even the national chairman of the national adult education is from Jigawa, but the state government and the ministry of education has refused to approve the allocation of land to the board.
Adding further that the issues were raised at the national meeting held in Abuja recently, but there was no response from the state or from the ministry to enable the national adult education board to start the projects in the state.
According to investigation gathered there is a communication gap between the state and the board.
