How Governor Al-Makura Killed Cultural Festival in Nasarawa State-Maku

Labaran Maku irked over the neglect and dearth of cultural festival has assured the people of Nasarawa state the All Progressive Grand Alliance would restore the lost glory, norms and values of cultural festival if elected as governor come 2019.

The former minister of Information hinted this during a goodwill message to Nigerians and the people of Nasarawa state during this year’s New Year celebration at his abode at Nasarawa Eggon local government of the state.

The erstwhile minister affirmed further that Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura succeeded in killing the rich cultural values that was accorded premise by his predecessors.

He however asserted that the rejuvenation of the cultural norms and values of the diverse ethnic groups would be reverse to be in tune with the present realities.

Maku said the restoration of cultural festival is another way of generating income to the state as well a means to augment the lean Internally Generated Revenue of the state through the display of cultural customers.

He stated that the neglect and outright dearth of traditional values also contributes to the ethnic uproar in the state, Maku added that the promotion of cultural festival would help in strengthening unity as well foster even and prudent development.
