A truckload of bags of cement from Dangote Company has smashed seven cars causing heavy gridlock in Jos, as the Driver lost one of his legs in an accident

The weekend at the popular Polo Roundabout in Jos by 7:54 am when the driver lost control of the vehicle due to brake failure and rammed into Karinbanjo shopping mall.

People who sustained injuries as a result of the multiple accident were rushed to the nearby Bingham University Teaching Hospital Jos for medical attention.

Fortunately, no death had been recorded at the time of filing this report.

The truck was descending the sloppy Hill Station Junction to that sophisticated Polo Round About with full speed as the Assistant Driver of the vehicle stood up and stuck his head outside shouting to the people, telling them to steer clear of the road as it had a technical hitch (brake failure).

According to eyewitnesses, the shouting averted human casualties. But those cars smashed by the truck were innocently on their right lane coming from Zaria Road.

It was gathered that after the truck knocked down those ill-fated cars and tricycles, the truck could not be stopped but crossed the heavy road barrier hit one car again dragged it, and finally crash-landed in a beautiful Shawarma Joint built by the Jos Metropolitan Development Board (JMDB) and that ended the drama.

With all that melodrama, the truck did not somersault or fall on its side before entering the eatery joint where it finally stopped by the hilly walls.

The sport of the accident has been very notorious as it is susceptible to accidents most of the time, even though the road is wide, dual carriage, and well tarred.

Security personnel were all over the place trying to toe the vehicle. But the loaded bags of cement were still intact inside.
