Delegates at the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC), party primary holding at Lamonde Hotel, were Tuesday, allegedly showered with money to elect aspirants into Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency.
The election scheduled for Tuesday at 9:00 am, left delegates, observers, and journalists stranded, only to commence at about 1:00 am Wednesday.
Our correspondent reports that State Government favourite aspirant Mr. Abbey Aku has through some Government Representatives given money to each of the 810 delegates from Bassa/Jos North LGA.
A delegate who spoke on anonymity confided that; “Government officials gave each of us money to vote for Hon. Abbey.
“Representatives of Hon. Suleiman Kwande gave the same amount to only delegates that agreed to votes for him.
“Dr. Adamu Aliyu’s Representatives gave dollars to only delegates that agreed to votes for him.
“And Hon. Lumuba Da Adeh, gave some money to all delegates,” the source said.
As of the time of filing this report accreditation of delegates from Bassa LGA, has commenced.
The primary holding at Lamonde Hotel, amidst tight security, is supervised by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.
