The People Democratic Party, PDP, candidate for Jos North /Bassa constituency, Federal House of Representative for the 2019 general election, Hon Jonathan Dabo has said, APC is the worst government since the history of Nigeria’s independence as they have subjected Nigerians to terrible beggars.
Speaking to this medium at Angwan Alheri of Jos North Local Government Area his campaign office, Dabo expressed sadness over the rate of underdevelopment of the country.
He explained further that the APC assured Nigerian of fighting insecurity, however, he asked where is the change, they made a lot of noise about it, but today they are the worst, we have witnessed poverty in Nigeria.
According to him, even during the civil war he said we didn’t lose lives like this, in the last three years, they said they are fighting corruption I have never seen a corrupt government like this but I refused to talk when the government is causing the problem to the masses.
He emphasized that until when you have two wives then you can judge the one that is caring, let Nigerians compare and contrast the two political parties and make the right choice of which one is credible enough.
Jonathan Dabo said for the past 16 years the people of Jos North /Bassa constituency had not gotten qualitative representation, he said; “so if given the mandate I shall effect change and give priority attention to legislative functions of working toward bringing feedback to the people of my constituency.”
“In case if there is any available opportunity to me, I will build the youth and focus on women empowerment because we have many graduates roaming about without job, I would create that to them, he said.”
Dabo pointed out that the functions of a legislature are to check the executive arm not to allow the executive to operate his own way, “We are all aware of the security of the federal government that is not given the necessary attention to stop the killings in Plateau state and middle belt until thing is done better.
He reiterated that three issues are part of his electioneering campaign promises, empowerment scheme, and constituency allowances to make use of it and develop infrastructures to the benefit of my constituent.
Dabo said; “It is God that gives leadership, you don’t have to be tested first because the burden attached is to avoid desperation, the task involved in leadership is to show that you truly want to serve.
He stressed that if given the mandate he wants to leave a good legacy the simple reason is I don’t want to end up my political carrier in the house of Rep but I want to contest for higher when God permits.
Dabo assured that he see PDP clinching the forthcoming Presidential and Gubernatorial race because as a grassroots mobilizer, APC came with change mantra that has terribly forced Nigerian to be beggars.
