A brave young Plateau woman, Miss Lucy Tapnan Jeremiah has wrestled with at least no fewer than 9 notorious kidnappers alone Abuja-Jos road as she dislodged them to set free some of the passengers on board.
Miss Lucy Tapnan Jeremiah is a resident of Abuja whom she was traveling to Mangu Local Government Council of Plateau State to attend a wedding and also celebrate the Christmas festivity with her family members.
However, the Nigeria Police Force, Plateau State Command has launched a manhunt for the escape members of the kidnapping syndicate curbing every nook and cranny of the state in search of them.
Lucy Tapnan Jeremiah while narrating her ordeals explained that what happened on that faithful day of the journey along the Abuja-Jos Road was a horrific experience but she summoned bold courage to either face the kidnappers or die in the struggle.
She said; “when we were approaching Science School Kuru, then I was deep into sleep and before the car was ordered by the kidnappers to stop, I then opened my eyes and behold standing in front of the car door was a man holding a gun instructing everyone on board to come down and surrender his or her phone and cash.
However, she said out of the seven passengers they selected four of us and led us into the forest and we left the remaining three at the scene.
Lucy Tapnan Jeremiah stated that they were traveling a long distance inside the bushes when two of their co-travelers were already tired of the long journey so, “I advised the other passengers that you guys are men let attack them and free ourselves from the bondage but they complained that these men are armed with dangerous weapons so any attempt is death.”
She said; “I then vowed that no matter what they’re holding my God would protect me, so, please if I hold the one with the gun, they should rush the one holding knife and I immediately rush to grab the man with AK47 and he shouted, and at that point the one with a knife attacked me wanting to pierce my stomach but I dodged it and the knife entered my leg.”
I can recall when they ask us to call our individual family members for a 5-million-naira ransom, the co-travelers warned me that they are holding weapons but that didn’t scare me.
