For Honourable Auwalu Dahiru Saleh a member of the 7th National Assembly representing Katagum Federal Constituency of Bauchi State, Sunday 28th April a day met his Waterloo as when he embarked on a journey to pay a condolence to his divorced wife over the death of her father Ciroman Katagum, a journey which later turned out to be sour for him.
As gathered by Universalreporters.info, as soon Hon, Auwalu arrive the family house of the divorced wife, members of his constituency descended on him as they began to beat him up.
According to information obtained from one of the aggrieved persons, who spoke to our reporter on the condition of anonymity said that the Honourable member has done a lot and deserved to be beaten.
“This man after we voted for him in the last General election, abandoned us, he has not done any single thing for our constituency, if you go round the whole of this constituency you will not see any single project that he had undertaken. Meanwhile he has been collecting money for constituency projects without setting up any project for our people who came out en-mass and voted for him.”
Speaking further, the aggrieved member of the Constituency said; we heard it on good authority that he is building a gigantic secondary school in Kano State, aside that he also owns a Bureau De change in Abuja. All these we gathered was set up using our constituency projects funds.”
“Can you believe that January was the last time Hon. Auwalu came to this constituency and since then his foot had not set on this constituency except today, even during that January that he came he was also beaten up by the members of the constituency who were aggrieved over his refusal to do anything for the constituency since he was voted into office even after he collected millions of naira for constituency projects.”
It was learnt that the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) member was preferred by his constituents over the PDP candidate that contested against him, but the people are now regretting why the voted him.
