The Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government, Hon Shehu Bala Usman has commended the Muslims Ummah for their hitch-free exercise by employing them to emulate the teaching prophet Mohammed in their conduct.
Philip Eplong Senior Information Officer Jos North Local Governments in a statement stated that Muslim faithful world over should emulate the virtuous lifestyle of total obedience, love, peace, togetherness, Justice, and self-sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim as they celebrate this year’s, Eid-el Kabir.
The Chairman in a statement urged the Muslim Ummah to use the occasion to extend hands of support and show of love and good neighborliness as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim and upheld by prophet Muhammad.
Usman said Eid-el Kabir is a period for renewing the spirit of compassion to fellow man and sacrifice in the service of humanity.
Usman admonished Muslims in the area to continue to reflect on the significance of the celebration, which he said bordered on encouraging piety, sacrifice, and love, noting that without love, no state or society could advance well.
The Chairman urged them to continue to pray for peace, progress, and development of the country.
He assured of a peaceful celebration in Jos North as the Local Government administration has made arrangements with security agencies to ensure that all citizens celebrate the Sallah in peace and harmony.
The Jos North Chairman then wished the Muslim Ummah a happy Eid-el Kabir celebration.
