Hon Shehu Bala Describes Xmas In Jos North LGA As Historic One Of The Most Peaceful In The State

The Executive Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council , Hon Usman Bala Shehu has disclosed that the 2021 Christmas Day celebration is one of the most peaceful in the history of Plateau state since the return of democracy in 1999 ,as he said his administration is committed to the total return of peace in the state capital.

Hon Bala Usman Shehu stated this in a phone interview with our correspondent on the current security situation in Jos North LGA during the festival.

He explained further that the state capital witnessed one of the most peaceful celebrations in the history of Plateau state where no body attacked or sustained physical injuries during the Xmas.

“We enjoyed the Christmas celebration as no single report of attack or someone reporting that he was molested as a result of the celebration, so we are employing Christian faithful to emulate the good teaching of Jesus Christ in their conduct”, he said.

The Council boss thanked the Plateau people for the overwhelming support given to him during the poll and the way and manner every citizen is cooperating with the APC government to ensure peace is restored in the Plateau state.

Bala Usman commended Governor Simon Lalong contributions in promoting peace, coexistence amongst the Plateau people by encouraging that everyone should live in harmony with one another.

He stated that the Lalong administration would leave a legacy of one of the administrations that promote togetherness, love and oneness which we want the people to emulate the gesture.

Hon Bala challenged Christians to continue to follow the paths of righteousness by imbibing the culture of love and tolerance amongst them .

He emphasized that the Lalong administration had created a conducive atmosphere for private business owners to strive, so we charge Nigerians to be their brother’s keeper.

Hon Shehu Bala tasked the peace-loving citizens of the state to imbibe the spirit of forgiveness and focus more on what would unite them more than issues that can divide us as a people.
