One of the aspirants for Jos North /Bassa Federal Constituency Hon Abubakar Sadeeq Plaza has urged Nigerian not to politicize the problem of insecurity in the country but charge government to work towards improving the security challenges in the country.
Speaking during the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Plateau State council, colloquium fundraising held at Eliel Event Center , Gold and base Rayfield, Jos, with a theme,” tackling food crises in Nigeria through robust research for sustainable development “.
He said the challenge of insecurity in the country is gradually threatening the peaceful coexistence from the Northern down to the southern parts where the poor vulnerable are left in hunger without food .
According to him, the activities of terrorists had continued to wreak havoc to all the geopolitical zones, we see where terrorists attack and destroy the lives and properties of the citizens so we employ more security networks to curb the menace of killings, kidnapping going on “.
He emphasized that the gap between the rich and the poor is too wide in Nigeria today as he urges the government to breach the gaps and work towards improving the well-being of the common man because many Nigerians can’t acquire square meals.
Abubakar explained further that his heart bleeds when he sees that many graduates are roaming about without any job and if given the mandate his plan was to embark on empowering women and the youths through a skills acquisition program .
He said the cost of getting kerosene for a family to cook meals is gradually getting worst and even buying fuel is even cheaper than diesel and kerosene .
Hon Sadeeq Plaza disclosed that the tax accruing has not impacted positively in the lives of Nigerians.
He called on federal and state governments to create a conducive atmosphere for small business to strife, we must restore back our lost glory and improve the lives of all a sundry whether Muslims or Christians we are one people.
He commended the media for their objectivity by encouraging them to always balance their report and inform the general public of positive things.
