Hon.Lumumba Adeh Lauds The Shift Of APC Convention, Calls For Calm

The former Member Representing Jos North /Bassa Federal constituency of Plateau State, Hon. Lumumba Adah Adeh has expressed happiness with the suspension of the  All Progressives Congress (APC) national convention of the party.

Speaking on the APC development in Jos, Adah Adeh said, shifting its national convention from February ending to March 26 is a welcome idea, he said this to enable the Plateau State chapter to commence full electioneering preparation for Jos North/Bassa bye-election scheduled for 26th February 2022.

“It would be recalled that the National Secretary of the APC Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, John Akpanudoedehe revealed that the exercise was shifted to pave ways for the party concludes her plan.

The National Secretary disclosed this to journalists at the end of a closed-door meeting by party stakeholders in Abuja.

Hon . Lumumba appealed to APC supporters, especially his supporters’ group to come out and vote by allowing themselves to be disenfranchised.

Akpanudoedehe said the preparation for the convention would begin on March 24 so we appealing to stakeholders to remain calm.

The party had earlier fixed the convention for February 26 and communicated the date to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

There were insinuations last week that the exercise may be postponed over internal squabbles”.

He explained further that, I’m happy over the postponement of the APC national convention, which would further enable the party to concentrate on mobilizing its members for the bye-election.

Adah commended the APC national secretariat for taking such a decision that may strengthen the existing unity within the APC.
