Hon Ibrahim Baba-Hassan Splashes 10,000.00 Each To Over 1,500 Women In Jos North-North Constituency

At least no fewer than 1500 women have flashed free cash donation of N10,000.00 each to women and vulnerable members of  Jos North-North constituency of Plateau North to help cushion the covid-19 pandemic and the Xmas gifts as his campaign promises.

 

 

The Former Deputy, Rt, Hon. Ibrahim Baba-Hassan disclosed that the main purpose of the empowerment program was as a  starter park to mitigate the effect of economic hardship caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

 

He said the looking at economic hardship been faced by Nigerian, the is an urgent need to support most importantly the women folks.

 

Baba-Hassan raised concern that because of the current situation in the country, we are in the second phase of the recession that is why I consider that let me call my constituents and support them with what they would use in buying foodstuffs for their households.

 

Ex-Deputy speaker, said,”As you can see that there are more than 1,500 women, and ten thousand Naira which is a considerable amount to the women, they will still use it to start small businesses and take care of their home front”.

 

Hon. Hassan said the disbursement was part of his state constituency project and was carried out in collaboration with the Plateau State Small and Micro Enterprises Agency(PLASMEDA).

 

“In all, I am disbursing the sum of N15,0000 to the 1,500 women,” he added.

 

Hon. Hassan urged the beneficiaries to use the money judiciously and further called on them to abide by the protocol guiding the scourge of Covid-19.

 

The speaker of the state house of Assembly, Hon. Abok Ayuba, said because of the covid-19 pandemic, a lot of their constituents are facing hardship, hence the need to support them.

 

“Most of our members are doing in other to reduce the hardship.

 

“Women are our mothers, and so we want to encourage them to also support the family,” he said.

 

Some of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the lawmakers, urging others to emulate him.

 

Ms. Sarah Fetus enthused that: “I am so excited, I am overwhelmed, I will use the ten thousand to start up a business of my own.
