An Aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ,Hon Solomon Nandy Chendan has officially withdrawn his membership over indiscriminate nomination form charged intending aspirants by the PDP, and APC as anti Youth in politics.
Solomon Chendan also concluded an arrangement to defect to African Democratic Congress, ADC, to forge ahead with governorship ambition with his supporters, calling eminent Nigerians to intervene and safe our democracy from moneybags politicians.
In his letter dated the 13th of April, 2022, Hon. Solomon Chendan lamented that the situation is gradually throwing Nigeria’s democracy into darkness and confusion as the Youth will not afford to buy forms to vie for elective positions.
According to the protest letter, the career of Nigerian youth in politics has been mortgaged by the PDP, APC with the high fees charged many Nigerians are not going to participate in leadership positions, but are cows to be used as thugs in electioneering campaigns, malpractices, rigging ballot snatching instance.
Solomon Chendan said, ” I officially send my withdrawal of membership from Peoples Democratic Party native of Tim-Jahas ,Kerang in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau state. Wish to formally notify the Hon. Chairman of my decision to withdraw my membership of PDP.
It’s been an honour serving with you all, as a pioneer member of the PDP from inception to date. I have served diligently and remain loyal to the core values of the party under the sun and in the rain, even when the party lost power to the APC , I have never contemplated leaving the party “.
” Having carefully observed the current trends and came to the realization that the party is anti-youth ambition due to the party’s decision to make it difficult for the youth to afford its nomination form at various levels, especially of the governorship, which cost up to twenty-one million Naira (21,000,000) I and many other positive-minded youths strongly believe that the high cost of the nomination form was deliberately hiked in order to deny the young and upcoming leaders a level playing field,”he said.
He disclosed that subsequently ,having held wide consultation with my support base,I have decided to officially withdrew my membership from the PDP and opted for a more youth friendly platform to pursue my ambition .
I remain firmly committed to answering the clarion call of my people to provide them with credible and youth oriented leadership come 2023.
“I wish all my fellow contenders and the PDP the best of luck and by what the PDP and APC money bags politician are ,only a retired of over 60 years of aged that spent all his salary saving or a senior civil servant can invest his or her pension in such project or one that stole and looted Nigeria treasury and award contracts with kickback that can afford or the Yahoo boys who have defraud Nigerian can purchase nomination form of the two political party ,” he lamented.
However, the worst is APC which nomination form now cost 31 million naira they expect one with return on successful banditry ,kidnapping business to participate and I don’t even think their party contractor that are buoyant except you are in their political caucus or you help importing oil or you’re a Hushpuppi, this show that Nigeria democracy is at verge of collapsing .
