Gunmen Snatched Gov. Lamido’s Official Car At Gun Point By Umar Faruq Usman,Dutse

Inspite of the presence of  Security checkpoints in Jigawa State, unidentified  gunmen snatched one of the cars belonging to Government House  Dutse, the car is said  to be among  the motorcades used by Governor Sule Lamido in his convoy, the Police Public Relations Officer Jigawa State, Abdu Jinjiri  who confirmed the incident said that the suspected armed robbers trailed the government house driver along bypass  and snatched the government house as they ran away with vehicle, the incident happened around 9 pm in the night last week.
The driver Malam Auwal Umar who is now in the police custody  for interrogation, as the police learnt that the gun men who snatched the car at gun point were  in Peugeot car saloon before carrying out the robbery.
In another development the Jigawa State Civil Defense have arrested a police officer for raping his father in-law’s , the woman’s name withheld disclosed the matter to her husband, that the incident has been going on in past two years that  the suspect, has been trying to sleep with her but he didn’t succeed.
The commandant of the state civil Defense Muhammed Fari has confirmed the story as he said that after they their investigation the suspect will be taken to Sharia Court to received his reward of what he did.
When contacted over the issue, the Police Public Relation Officer DSP Abdu Jinjiri over the issue said the suspect is not their member, branding him a fake a police officer, as he said the Command did not receive any signal from their DPOs at local level and nobody among their members is absent from duty.
According to him he said the Civil Defense should have informed them officially.
